So, our crew has finally gotten itself together again, and after confirming our plan of action, we’ve set off from Rugga-Mama’s lovely pink island to another of the islands in the Mutya Atolls; the Isle of Pacquiao.
You know, given that its shaped like a fist, we should have expected to find a society of fighting-type fans there.
Apparently, Pacquiao has a highly respected dojo, with a master there who is known for bringing out the true potential of Pokémon in combat, so it’s a hot spot for fighting types and their trainers to get stronger.
And maybe, at this point, I also should have expected the dojo master to also be a Pokémon, but it still shocked me. Maybe it was because the Primape was just… so strong. Like, knocked P1ssed through the ceiling with one hit strong.
Luckily, Percy knew how to talk to the mon. Through more fighting, of course, but she was impressed enough that she let us stay for some super training. It was a good few day rest; spending time getting stronger, exploring the island, prepping for the next leg of our journey…
Truth is, I’m getting a little nervous. The stakes seem to be raising by the day, everything compounding on itself; from the face that we’re fugitives, the team no longer getting supplies and money from TANTRUP, the knowledge that our enemy may have all sorts of legendary Pokémon under their command, it really feels like we’re in over our heads.
I can’t help but worry about the others; about myself, too. Do we have what it takes? Are we ready for this? I’m still not sure…
But we are gathering allies of our own; slowly but surely. I can only hope this will be enough.
So yeah, the master of the dojo heard our plight, and decided she wanted to come with us to help! Once again, thanks to Percy. We should get something nice for him, the guy’s earned it at this point.
With that, we continued our route to Pak-pak.
Oh! I should probably mention our talk with Mairu. He and Kip’s relationship has been… a little strained since we found out he was involved with Morgana, so we decided it was time to ask some questions. Figure things out.
Apparently, Mairu and Morgana had come to the forces of nature trio to ask for help dealing with the other team rift’s plans, and things did… not go well. So Thundurus was pretty upset with them, and Mairu kept all his knowledge of the conflict to himself.
I won’t go over everything we learned here, but we got some more conformation of things we knew, cleared up some questions, and I think it was pretty obvious that Mairu wasn’t trying to be deceptive for malicious purposes, but because he didn’t want to upset Kip.
Unfortunately, nothing stays secret forever, and all the lying just left Kip feeling angrier than before. Thankfully, Mairu agreed to talk things out, and I think they’ve made up. Or at least, Kip is open to forgiving Mairu now.
It was a good, heartwarming note to end things on. Now we can get onward to Pak-Pak.
