Welcome to the wonderful region of Yapos! To properly understand the composition of the campaign, I'd like to explain a few things in particular before the adventure logs begin. |
The Region
The setup of the campaign itself is largely exploratory. After the initial "tutorial level" for the first few sessions, players will be able to explore Yapos however they wish. The locations of Pokemon and various level-up opportunities have been sprinkled throughout the territory, so that no matter what order they choose to go in for the territories the world will be able to be easily scaled as appropriate. It's up to the party to decide where they go next. How exciting!
The ERA
The journey begins with the help of the Trainer's Association for the Documentation of Rare and Undiscovered Pokemon (TADRUP), who has worked alongside Professor Cinnamon to create a sponsorship program for talented young trainers. Yapos is a difficult region to map out and document, as satellites cannot properly fly over the region without malfunctioning or breaking. So, TADRUP, alongside other partners they have, chose three teams of three to provide money and resources to so that they may not only safely go on their Pokemon journey, but also help TADRUP and other scientific organizations to research the landscape and Pokemon that call the region home.
Two teams, Team Argon and Team Umber, are partnered together on their journey, meaning they travel as one team. The final team, Team Virdis, consists of the party's rivals- two to oppose one person from each other team.
There are three roles to each team: the brawn (🌀), the support (💞), and the wildcards (⚜️). Each one is tasked with helping the party survive Yapos' wild landscape/seascape as they progress through their journey.
Additionally, each team is provided with some impressive technology. Each team received a Pokedex XXE, which can transform between different modes, including a Styler mode, Traditional Pokedex mode, etc etc. The combined teams of Argon and Umber also received a special transportation vehicle, known as the Surfco™️ All-Environment-Integrated-Odyssey Ultimate Terrain Vehicle (AEIO-UTV), which begins in BOAT mode, but with hard work and personal growth the party will eventually be permitted to utilize other modes, such as RADTRUCK, SUBMARINE, MEGAJET, etcetera.
Finally, the party will be paid every other week by TADRUP based on how thoroughly they explore the region, and document the Pokemon within.
