Hi Mama!
It’s been a little over a year since you left. I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear that I’m finally going on my journey!
Even though you gave me your blessing, it took a while just to convince Gran and Adaline to let me go… I feel bad leaving them at home, but they’re capable ladies- way better at tending to the farm than I am, anyways.
I’ll make sure to call and check on them for you whenever I can though, I promise!
I even told Delphino, my Rowlet, all the stories you told me to try and get him excited too, but he seemed uninterested. I’m sure he’ll warm up to me eventually...
So far things have been pretty great. There’s five other kids in the group, and they’ve all got really strong-looking Pokemon!
Travis was the first one I saw. He looked pretty beat up… maybe he wrestles with his Tepig? He said that “he loves Pokemon” and that he’s going to be the next Champion… erm.
Leo was second. He… comes on pretty strong, but seems nice nonetheless. He’s got a Froakie named Jean and they like to blow bubbles. I’m sure you would’ve love to have seen that.
Then there was Eponine. She always seemed so responsible that I’m not surprised that she’s going on this adventure, too. Her and her Espurr might as well be professional Trainers already with how in sync they seem. I’m sure you’d be happy to see her traveling with us.
Darcy was there too- I remember you were friends with her mom way back when, so I’ll try my best to get along well with her. And she’s got the fluffiest lil Rockruff I’ve ever seen! So so cute (///´ ꒳ ` )♡
And lastly, there was Ricky. I’m not sure how I feel about him- he straight-up asked me about my eye, which honestly I didn’t appreciate so much. But I’m sure he didn’t mean to make me feel bad, so I won’t hold it against him. He has a Houndour that ended up winning the first battle of our trip, so he must be really strong as a Trainer.

We’ve seen lots and lots of excitement today! Like I said earlier, there were a couple of battles on Route 1- there were some Snubbull trainers that gave Ricky and Travis’s Pokemon some trouble, and it made me really sad to see them get so hurt. But Tepig and Houndour looked like they got stronger because of it. And I got to show off one of the tricks you showed me that makes Berries more effective!
I hope they don’t get so close to fainting next time though. The suspense is too much for me...

Just checking back in again. We made a quick stop to heal in Decartton- didn’t see my buddies or Auntie Kim, but we saw a cute Pokemon who could talk in the Pokemon Center! She seemed unsure of herself, but maybe she was just a trainee.
There was another big battle on Route 2. I learned the name of Espurr- Mittens. Very cute… (´ ꒳ ॢ`๑)♡
He and Eponine battled it out against a Worker with a Bidoof and a Meowth. The poor thing was so close to fainting sometimes that I couldn’t watch- and apparently Leo couldn’t either, because Jean’s practicing was pretty distracting to the trainers. There was a lot of back and forth, but finally Mittens proved himself the top cat!
Another friend joined our party, too. Leo caught a Rockruff! It kicked up a lot of dirt to mess with Jean, but eventually he knocked it low enough to capture. I wonder if he’ll let me pet it.
Professor Pando was nice, just like you said he’d be. He told us a lot of useful stuff... for example, the town to the south of Decartton, Wuntsdale, has an upcoming Contest. And there’s a big circle of cities we can go to visit later called the Quinturban that also has a bunch of Gyms. Punetton and Liyettele are a couple of towns in that loop, so I’m looking forward to visiting them!
I’m a little worried about the thing the Professor asked us to do, though. He asked us to cut through Mycellial Forest after our visit to Wuntsdale… after all those scary stories you and Gram told me and Addy all the time I’m kinda nervous about going in, but with how strong my friends are I’m sure we’ll be okay. There’s a lady in there named Carol that we’re delivering a file to, so I’m sure if we get hurt she might be able to help us. I’ll make sure to bring as much supplies as I can too, so don’t worry okay? I’ll keep ya posted.
Welp, it looks like we’re about to head back out now. I’m going to try and fight my first battle with Delphino soon, and maybe I’ll catch some new Pokemon friends too... so keep an eye on us, okay?
Love you bunches.
Talk to you again soon! -Bowser
