The island was so cool! It was small, but full of so many meowths! They had Croli ones, Kanto ones, Alolah ones, pretty much every meowth form we know of right now. Pretty much everyone in our group caught a mewoth they liked, including me! Zoro’s a bit spooky looking, but he’s got a calm personality. I think I’m gonna switch him out with Nibbs and let Nibbs gets some rest in the PC. Welcome to the team, buddy!
Man, of course we run into Darcy just as we get out on the road… Not that I have any issues with Darcy, but I know Nym doesn’t like him, and after last time I really don’t want a repeat of that encounter. Thankfully, we’ve smoothed things over enough for our journey to continue without another fight, but I don’t think Nym is happy with any of us…
It’s getting later into the day, and we’ve stumbled across what looks like an abandoned nature park. Least, I think that’s what it is. The inside is supper run down and so overgrown with flowers you can’t even go down any of the hallways. And the sky seems stuck in overcast, even though the rest of the rout was sunny. So weird…
We also ran into another friend- turns out Candace was following us since we left down. Don’t know why she didn’t come say hi face to face and chose to try and hide in a tree instead… not like she got into a fist fight with Nym. But, she’s here now and really I’m thankful to have a large group here with me. After what happened in the swamp, we really can’t underestimate what might be lurking in here…
Speaking of lurking, Theo’s been hearing a Pokémon’s voice, apparently. A grass type, from his assumption, and it sounds really weak. It’s asking for water and sunlight. Poor thing, I hope there’s some way to help it…
Man, the folks in my group sure are smart. Lilly and Theo figured out how to get the flowers to clear out of the hallways, by providing them with something that matched the color of the flowers. The water in the fountain was blue tinted, which we discovered by shining light on it, and when we poured it on the blue flowers, they detached and moved away! Now, all that’s really left to do is go deeper into the building. I do really wanna help that Pokémon, I just hope we’re not stepping head first into a challenge we can’t handle…
I had to wait til we’d gotten out of the park to finish the entry. Everything else happened so fast there wasn’t any time to sit and write, and well… now there’s a lot to write about… Lucky for us, the rest of the puzzles weren’t so hard. No super strong guardian Pokémon or something to deal with. We found a yellow light for the yellow flowers, and red soil for the red flowers. Pretty straight forward. And that pokemon Theo heard was a Chirubi! Such a cute and bouncy Pokémon. Turns out, some other group came through and their Pokémon threw up the overcast clouds by accident. Not sure how that works, but Chirubi doesn’t have any reason to lie to us. Lilly also got a reward in the form of some Pokedex entries for ‘mons we haven’t found yet that were on some information plaques in the building.
While all of that was smooth sailing, I… ran into some… strange sights. We ran into this one room full of orange flowers that I thought felt strangely familiar, and suddenly I was back in the fire vision again. This… statue in the middle reached out to me, and at first it scared me so hard I just fell over and tried to get away from it.
Turns out, it’s a Golett, and it seems to… like me, for some reason. It’s also supper sparkly; wonder if its made from, like, gemstones or something? But when I touched its hand, the fire vision was back again. That guy with the scythe was there, too, but he didn’t seem like he was gonna try to hurt me this time. He started talking, but what he was saying was so vague I had no idea what he was trying to tell me. Something about being ‘so close,’ but it’s ‘not the right time.’ And no matter how many times I asked, he wouldn’t tell me who he was! So frustrating!
I got out of there safe, but definitely more confused. Theo tried to help me by brining me into his ‘weird space,’ which is much nicer and less on fire than mine, to speak to the person he was connected to. This huge guy with sharp teeth, kinda like Nym’s. But he didn’t wanna talk to me, and didn’t seem comfortable with me there. I left so he could talk to Theo, but he didn’t have any more insight to give.
Oh well. We’re spending the night in some tents we found in the nature park. There’s still a lot of the route to cover tomorrow, so I better get some sleep. I do hope I get some answers soon…
